The Ario was a 453-foot long tanker torpedoed off Morehead City.  She drifted inshore before sinking on her side in shallow water.  The Ario was demolished with explosives, and her remains now lie scattered on the bottom in 72 feet of water.  The wreck was recently identified after an investigation, and determined it was long misidentified as the W.E. Hutton.
