COORDINATES: OREGON INLET

The Lois Joyce was a fishing trawler that was caught in a winter storm, December of 1981. Running for Oregon Inlet she came to grief on a bar just outside (north) of the treacherous inlet. She now lies about 500m offshore, lying on her side. She is easily visible from the beach and is fished on calm days. Due to her proximity to Oregon Inlet, she is rarely dove.
