This tanker was sank by the submarine U-124 on March 23, 1942. Split into two sections by the attack, the stern section is the most popular dive. Setting upright and intact with a maximum depth of 140', the wreckage is covered with beautiful corals, sponges, anemones and is home to a variety of other invertebrates and fish. The superstructure and bridge were not found until late 1998, and the second trip to this section yielded the helm, a telegraph, and two portholes.
